What a great game - after the 2nd period started, the game was good for both teams. I'm glad Vancouver came out on top, because it washed away the ugly memories of the earlier parts of the game.
The ugliest being the very start, for me. During the anthems, did anyone else get irked when no one in the building really seemed to be singing the Star-Spangled Banner (which is fine - I won't force you to sing), yet when the word "stars" was sung in the song, everyone in the building screamed out? I don't know if I'd count that as disrespectful per se, but it was definitely cheesy.
Is this just me?
Maybe I'm just used to watching the anthems in Vancouver, where virtually everyone in the crowd sings "O Canada", and a good portion still sings the American anthem as well; here in Dallas, no one seemed to sing much of anything except that one word.
"STARS!!"

texans that aren't around san antonio or south padre really perturb me. they make everything seem boring. which was sad bc there was some great hockey last night, yet another excellent duel with turco and luongo. and this is about the only series that's been free of dirty hits and been pretty free of odd officiating.
VS showing the CBC feed was refreshing. made me feel like i was back home in detroit watching hockey night in canada with the family

yeah, their anthem chime-in was pretty weak, imo. and the towels were pathetic, but i wouldn't expect much more from them since WE invented it.

Because they haven't discovered the word "c***s" which has the same number of letters as "*****" (See what I did there???!!!!?!???)And that's no disrespect to Americans - My wife is...
